After 25 years of working out, I finally found a program that challenged me mentally and physically. <br> <br>As a 30 year high school football coach, I have spent countless hours in the weight room working with younger athletes to refine their movement patterns and become strong and I am excited to share some of what I have learned with the CrossFit Down Valley community. <br> <br>My hope is that we can prepare our athletes to be the best skiers, mountain bikers, hikers, rafters and paddle boarders possible and if we happen to get a ~SQ~Games Athlete~SQ~ to enter our gym, my hope is that we can help that person achieve their fitness goals as well. <br> <br>Being fit is closer than most people realize…it just takes a little hard work and commitment. <br> <br>I am the proud husband of Janet (33 years) and the proud father of Cindy (33), Sam (30) and Jake (28). <br> <br>I am a Level 1 Trainer. <br> <br>I am blessed to be the “Papa” of Soren (3), Mia (21 months) and Charlie (born in August of 2022).</td></table>"))

After high school he continued his hockey career to play collegiately and minor professionally. Now he continues to play as the captain of the Vail Yeti our local semiprofessional hockey team. <br> <br>Away from the gym he spends time passing on his passions of fitness, skiing, mountain biking, hunting and hockey to his two boys Liam and Lucas. <br> <br>When Bill started at CFDV he hadn~SQ~t exercised regularly for 4 years. After losing 35 lbs. and generally turn his life around he was hooked. CFDV changed his life for the better and he hopes he can pass that gift along to you.</td></table>"))

Playing football and soccer in high school and going on to play soccer in college. He has extensive experience with endurance sports. He has competed in numerous trail ultra-races ranging from 30 to 100 miles in length and has successfully completed many multi-day races through some of the most scenic and rugged places in North America. <br> <br>After starting CrossFit in the fall of 2011 he noticed that he was becoming a better, well-rounded athlete. In addition to athletics, Roy volunteers his time to the nonprofit ~SQ~Insulindependence~SQ~ mentoring and teaching type 1 diabetics how to manage their disease while living an active lifestyle. Laura started CrossFit after becoming frustrated with some of the at home routines out there. <br> <br>After trying out several programs that promised “Get ripped in no time” or “Shred fat now”; Laura became bored and turned to using a more comprehensive method of training. She now realizes how rewarding and exciting it can be to train with a barbell and other strength implements. Laura has learned the important difference between getting ‘ripped’ and being functionally strong and fit. By using training methods that CrossFit Down Valley employs, she has increased her athletic capabilities and loves being challenged everyday by the sport . <br> <br>Training with CrossFit has allowed Laura to see herself as an athlete for the first time. Laura is excited to share her knowledge and experiences with the Down Valley community.</td></table>"))
